Des Moines After School Arts Program Paintings at Dickinson Law Firm

The Dickinson law firm was honored to receive two bright and cheery paintings completed by third through fifth graders participating in the Des Moines After School Arts Program (“ASAP”).  The firm commissioned the paintings with a donation to ASAP, which reaches out to inner city elementary students and provides them opportunities to participate in art endeavors that are not afforded through their schools because of decreasing art budgets.  Dickinson attorney Bill Stiles accepted the paintings on behalf of the firm from ASAP Executive Director Michelle Bolton King on July 22, 2011.

The two paintings now hang in the firm’s 15th floor break room in the Hub Tower in downtown Des Moines.  A commemorative plaque placed near the paintings gives credit to the ASAP participants who put their hearts into these creative works.
