Bridget Penick named secretary of the Polk County Bar Association

Dickinson employment law attorney Bridget R. Penick was appointed secretary of the Polk County Bar Association at the group’s annual meeting this month. The PCBA is a non-profit, volunteer organization that works to serve and improve the legal and judicial system while providing public service to the community. It is the largest local bar association in the state of Iowa.

Penick, who practices primarily in employment law, represents employers of all sizes, both in state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies. She counsels employers in human resources policies and procedures, employment discrimination, FMLA, ADA, wage & hour, NLRA issues, and union organizing. She also assists employers with employment-related immigration issues.

Penick is active in the American Bar Association as well as the Iowa State Bar Association, of which she is a past-president of the Young Lawyers Division. She will serve as secretary of the PCBA through 2013.
