When asked why he was going to the office at 9:00 on a Sunday night, Marc Ward responded with a smile, “Why not?  I love what I do.” 

Marc’s clients need their business lawyer to be responsive and up on the issues.  That is one reason he started his blog that covers LLC and general corporate issues.

“It helps me stay current with the direction of business law.  These days, clients need a lawyer who does more than just draft a document.  Advice and counsel are the value added that I try to bring to an engagement,” says Marc.

More importantly, Marc sees the team approach to Dickinson’s business law practice effectively serving the needs of the firm’s clients.  “If I can’t do it,” he says, “somebody on our team can.”

Marc set himself apart from other business lawyers when he was present at the birth of LLCs in Iowa.  He chaired the committee that wrote the original LLC law in 1992 and chaired the committee that wrote the new Iowa LLC law in 2009.
