Lending, Collections & Bankruptcy
IntroductionDickinson attorneys provide assistance to institutional lenders in connection with the planning, negotiation, documentation and, when necessary, modification of commercial credit agreements with their customers. Those credit facilities may be term or open-ended, secured or unsecured, and may be traditional loan agreements or capitalized leases. We assist our clients in secured transactions involving both real estate and personal property as collateral. We strive to ensure that the credit documentation used by our clients is unambiguous, enforceable, unsusceptible to modification without written agreement, and otherwise protective of our clients’ interests. Should our assistance be necessary in connection with the enforcement or collection of a credit document, we are prepared to bring action or otherwise appear on our clients’ behalf in Iowa state district court, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern or Southern District of Iowa, or the United States District Court for the Northern or Southern District of Iowa. |
