Amy Plummer's practice includes banking law, corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, and business formations. She also assists clients with intellectual property, e-commerce law, and software licensing agreements. Amy is a member of Dickinson’s Banking Law and Business & Corporate Law groups and currently serves as Treasurer on the firm’s Board of Directors. She was recently recognized for a second year by Best Lawyers in America for her work in Business Organizations, Closely Held Companies, and Family Business Law.

Amy earned her B.S. from the University of Minnesota in 1999 and her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2002. She is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State and American Bar Associations.

  • Regularly assist clients with mergers and acquisition transactions in Iowa and surrounding Midwestern states, including drafting, negotiating and closing stock purchase agreements and purchase and assumption agreements

  • Negotiate and draft software licensing agreements, subscription service agreements and software resale and distribution agreements  

  • Assist clients with securities issues by conducting private placements, including drafting offering memorandum documents and subscription agreements for sale of shares to investors

  • Review and negotiate bank data processing and fintech agreements

  • Advise clients about corporate governance and director and officer liability issues
