Overview
L. Lars Hulsebus has a passion for advocacy inside and outside the courtroom, and has represented clients in a wide array of litigations in state and federal court. He is also experienced in arbitrations and mediations, including before JAMS and FINRA.
Before joining Dickinson Bradshaw, Lars practiced litigation in New York, first at the international firm Willkie Farr and Gallagher LLP, and then at the litigation boutique Dewey Pegno & Kramarsky LLP.
Before attending law school, Lars worked as a reporter at The Des Moines Register.

- Represented leading credit card processor in federal lawsuit against sponsor bank.

- Represented world’s largest asset management firm in $25 million suit brought by borrower. Wrote appellate briefs leading to affirmance of motion to dismiss by the New York Appellate Division and Court of Appeals.
- Represented former employee in suit alleging violation of noncompete agreement; negotiated resolution.
- Represented demand committee of multinational conglomerate in internal investigation.
- Represented plaintiffs in successful federal civil rights class action.
- Represented major media company in employment discrimination case.
- Handled numerous third-party subpoenas on behalf of global financial advisor.
