The USDA issued a press release announcing that February SNAP benefits will be issued on or before January 20, 2019 in order to ensure that participants receive their February payments.  USDA maintains that it has the authority under the last Continuing Resolution to issue February benefits, but it must be done within the 30 day-period following the expiration of the Act, which was on December 21, 2018.  In Iowa, assistance is issued through the Department of Human Services (DHS).  DHS has not yet announced its plan for administration of the SNAP benefits, but plans to issue a press release on January 15, 2019.
