Together with their families, roughly 25 attorneys and staff of Dickinson Law spent last Saturday morning in hair nets and plastic gloves volunteering at Meals From the Heartland in West Des Moines. The group worked in assembly-line fashion at three work stations to scoop rice, soy, dried vegetables and vitamins into bags that are then sealed and delivered to starving people around the world.

"We have a strong commitment to community service at Dickinson, and this was a really great opportunity for us to come together as a firm," said Firm President Jeff Krausman. "It was my first time volunteering at Meals From the Heartland, and it was a wonderful experience - especially since my station packaged more meals than the other two groups!"

Since 2008, Meals From the Heartland has provided nearly 65 million meals to the hungry in Iowa and across the globe.
