Laura is a member of Dickinson, Mackaman, Tyler & Hagen, P.C.'s Business and Banking Law Practice Groups. She counsels businesses from start-up to maturity on a variety of corporate issues, including formation, corporate governance, contract review, and M&A.
Laura represents banks on corporate matters and assists them with regulatory compliance and M&A. Her regulatory practice includes assisting banks with filing Change in Control Applications with the Federal Reserve, New Branch and Branch Relocation Applications with the Iowa Division of Banking and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Interagency Merger Applications with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and other regulatory applications and notifications.
Laura works with both businesses and banks to raise capital via private placements, submit documentation to the Securities and Exchange Commission, and generally comply with securities laws.
Prior to practicing with Dickinson, Mackaman, Tyler & Hagen, P.C., Laura graduated summa cum laude from Drake University’s College of Business, where she received her business degree and concentrated in business law. Laura received her J.D. from Drake University Law School, where she graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif with highest honors.
