As a farm kid and Iowa native, Emily knows Iowa agriculture and agribusiness.  Her combination of family farm experience and work in the agribusiness industry give her unique insight to the practice of agricultural law in Iowa.  Prior to joining Dickinson, Emily worked with the Iowa Pork Producers Association, National Pork Producers Council, the United States Department of Agriculture and the Environmental and Farm Division of the Iowa Attorney General’s office.  Emily also currently sits on the Iowa Pork Producers Association Public Policy Committee and is a member of the Silos and Smokestacks Board of Trustees.

Emily graduated Summa Cum Laude from Iowa State University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of science in Agricultural business. In 2015, Emily obtained her J.D. with honors and a certificate in Agricultural Law from Drake University Law School.  While attending Drake, she was Agricultural Law Association Vice President and Editor-in-chief of the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law.
