As a member of the firm’s Banking, Employment, and Trusts and Estates Law Practice Groups, David Gonzales assists individuals and business clients in a variety of legal matters, including immigration and employment issues, trusts and estate law, banking law, and banking regulation. He also serves bank trust departments, helping resolve trust administration issues. He has successfully represented clients in both state and federal court.

David regularly blogs and presents topics to groups on various banking and employment issues, including new laws and regulations that affect individuals and financial institutions, contemporary immigration issues, employment topics such as the I-9 verification process, and much more.

Prior to pursuing a career in the law, David worked for ten years in media relations and broadcasting for professional hockey teams and local radio stations both on and off the air. He also worked in crop input financing for six years, and is a veteran of the United States Army.

While obtaining his legal training, David gained valuable experience at the U of I Immigration Clinic representing immigrants with applications before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service.
